First Friday on Southwest Boulevard – Kansas City
Singer songwriter MIKAL SHAPIRO joined the Porta Hedge crew yesterday evening at the intersection of Southwest Boulevard and Baltimore Avenue during Kansas City’s FIRST FRIDAY in the Crossroads Art District. In addition to enjoying Mikal’s performance, visitors were invited to come inside and explore the Porta Hedge’s observation lab. Many of the visitors expressed their enthusiasm at the possibility of using the Porta Hedge to observe their neighbors.
Loved visiting the porta hedge last night at first Fridays in Kansas City. And just now on I-70 in the middle of Missouri. Thanks.

Congratulations! I enjoyed seeing your pics of your porta hedge. I’m the older student in the back while you were making this sculpture. How excited I was to pick up my sculpture magazine and see your porta hedge. Congratulations on being one of the winners of the sculpture award. You must have had a great time travelling the country!
